Ride A Pet Tips: How to Make Money Fast

Checked in-game 4 Oct 2026 Updated 4 Oct 2026

In Ride A Pet, your cash comes from the pets on your ranch. Each placed pet earns money every second, even while you're offline. You only get 5 slots, so the fastest way to get rich is to fill them with your best earners and spend your cash in a smart order. These tips show you how.

Start earning in your first minute

You start with $50, and the tutorial has you spend all of it on the Advanced Radar. That leaves you with no cash, so get a pet earning straight away.

  1. Buy the Advanced Radar at the Gear Shop for $50.
  2. Click the red Dismount button. You can't place a pet while riding.
  3. Select a pet in your hotbar.
  4. Click an empty dirt spot inside your own ranch fence.

Only click inside your own fence. The ranches next to yours belong to other players. The beginner's guide on this site covers the rest of the tutorial.

Your ranch only holds 5 pets

The ranch caps at 5 pets. The pet panel shows this as 5/5. If you try to place a sixth pet, you'll just see Max 5/5 On Ranch and nothing happens.

Placing the 5th pet fills the ranch

This means a weak pet is taking up a slot a better pet could use. When the ranch is full you have two ways to swap:

  • Unequip a weak pet in the pet panel, then place your new pet in the free spot.
  • Place Best in the pet panel. It fills the slots with your highest $/s pets for you.

Which pets to keep

Pet income changes a lot from one pet to the next. Here are the rates I've seen on the ranch:

  • Snail: $3/s
  • Axolotl: $13/s
  • Sloth: $18/s
  • Chicken: $42-43/s
  • Pig: $64-76/s
  • Panda: $112-142/s

One Panda can earn as much as dozens of Snails. So once you hatch something better, a Snail or Axolotl should leave the ranch.

The better pets are rarer too. These are the odds I've seen:

  • Sloth: 1 in 20
  • Chicken: 1 in 150
  • Pig: 1 in 200
  • Panda: 1 in 1K

Check the KG. Every pet shows its KG in the hotbar. Pets with more KG earn far more money, so two pets of the same kind can earn very different amounts. Keep the heavier one.

Look out for Gold. Some pets have a [Gold] tag in the hotbar. These are Gold variants. Compare their $/s with your other pets before you choose what to keep.

Use Place Best after every hatch

Place Best is the easiest way to keep your income high. Use it every time you hatch a pet or level one up.

  1. Click Dismount if you are riding.
  2. Open the pet panel on the right (it shows 5/5).
  3. Click Place Best.
  4. Check that all 5 slots are filled.

The pet panel can switch a card's button between Feed and Unequip. Read each button before you click it, or you might take your best pet off the ranch by accident.

Spend your cash in the right order

Cash goes fast, so spend it where it helps most.

1. Hatch Luck first, while it's cheap. The first levels on the green Hatch Luck board cost only $5, then $15. Later levels get more expensive. In the $345-$895 range, each level cost about $110 more than the last. Better luck means better eggs.

2. Then buy out the Bone stock for your top earner. Bone costs $1,500 at the Food stand and gives a pet +10,000 XP. Buy all of it until the button shows NO STOCK. Feed it to your best earner (for example your Panda) first, because levelling pets helps them earn more.

Always check your cash at the bottom left before clicking over and over. These buttons drain money fast. If you see Not Enough Cash, walk away and let your pets earn. Earn while you're away

Your placed pets keep earning when you're offline. Once I had a good ranch, the game showed You Earn $420,480/Day Offline.

So before you log off:

  1. Click Place Best so your top 5 earners are on the ranch.
  2. Make sure the panel reads 5/5.

This works well with the food shop too. Food restocks about every 5 minutes, and you can save up cash between restocks so you're ready to buy Bones when new stock arrives.

Friend Boost and the x2 sign

You'll also see a couple of extra numbers while you play.

  • Friend Boost: this showed +0%, so it added nothing. Don't plan your income around it.
  • x2 sign: the pet panel header sometimes shows x2/5. Keep an eye on it, but your 5 pets are still what matters most for your $/s.
