Steal An Egg Extinction Egg: Odds, Price & Skeletal

The Extinction Egg is a limited-time egg in Steal An Egg that you buy with Robux. This guide covers the pet odds it shows, what each bundle costs, how much you pay per egg, and how likely you are to hatch the 1% Skeletal pet. Please read the maths before you decide anything. A 1% chance is much lower than most players think.

What the Extinction Egg is

The Extinction Egg offer has a Limited Time! label and a countdown timer. When I checked, it said 6d 22h 55m 31s remaining, so about 7 days were left.

The timer keeps going down, so check it in-game to see how long you really have. When it reaches zero, the egg may no longer be for sale.

Extinction Egg pet odds

The egg shows seven pet slots. Each slot has its own chance:

• 39%
• 24%
• 18%
• 11%
• 6.5%
• 1% (this is Skeletal)
• 0.5%

Add them up and you get 100%. So every egg hatches exactly one of these seven pets.

Most of your hatches will come from the top three slots, which make up 81% of the total. Only two slots are rarer than 5%: Skeletal at 1% and the rarest slot at 0.5%.

Bundle prices and Robux cost per egg

You can buy the Extinction Egg in four bundle sizes. Here is the price of each one and what one egg costs inside it:

Bigger bundles cost less per egg. The 50 Eggs bundle also shows an old price of 5,959, down to 3499.

Is the 50-egg discount worth it?

Look past the old 5,959 price. Here is the honest comparison:

1. Fifty eggs bought one at a time would cost 50 × 99 = 4,950 Robux.
2. The 50 Eggs bundle costs 3499 Robux.
3. That's 1,451 Robux less than buying single eggs. You pay about 70 per egg instead of 99.

So yes, it's the cheapest price per egg. But a cheaper egg only helps if you actually wanted that many eggs. 3499 Robux is still a lot. A bundle only saves you anything if you were going to spend that amount anyway.

A good question to ask yourself first: "Would I be happy with the common pets if I never get Skeletal?" Most eggs will give you the 39%, 24% or 18% pets.

Chances of hatching Skeletal

Skeletal has a 1% chance from each Extinction Egg. Each egg rolls on its own, so earlier bad luck doesn't make the next egg any luckier.

This is roughly how likely you are to get at least one Skeletal:

• 1 egg: 1%
• 3 eggs: about 3%
• 10 eggs: about 10%
• 50 eggs: about 39%

Even with the biggest bundle, you are more likely not to get Skeletal than to get it. On average it takes about 100 eggs to get one, and some players need many more.

The 0.5% slot is rarer still. On average it takes about 200 eggs to get one.

1. Press the Index button on the left side of the screen (it sits next to the Shop button).
2. Choose the Limited tab.
3. You will see 72 pets listed, with Dr. Scramble as the featured pet.
4. Pick a pet to see its Index reward. A Limited Mythic entry showed $18M cash and +0 speed, with a CLAIM! button.

Index entries can give you extra cash.
